As a Chapter Lead you will contribute to our goals by being an Engineer, and at the same time helping other Engineers in your chapter to develop themselves into even better professionals. You will give them technical guidance in how we could best reach our goals, and you will make sure we work with the latest and best technology to serve our clients in the best possible way.

Your job

As Chapter Lead Data Engineering, you will combine working as a Data Engineer, with your role as leading the chapter of likewise Data Engineers. About 60% of the time you will work in your own block (devops team) on refining, analysing, designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining and realizing good quality and future proof IT solutions. The rest of the time you will manage your team.

This includes:

• Create and foster a healthy working environment and an Engineering culture for your Chapter and our grid;
• Educating yourself and others with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations;
• Mentoring your Chapter members on technical craftsmanship;
• Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by joining triangles, circles, communities, and events. Furthermore, focus on proper knowledge dissemination across the teams, pushing the limits of our technology and focussing on holistic solutions;
• Take care of the HR processes to facilitate all aspects relating to the influx, development, performance and outflux of employees.

Working environment

You will be part of grid Customer Interaction. This department is responsible for all digital client interaction tooling, like Video Banking, Contact Center solutions, Conversational AI and Webcare tooling and the digitalization of processes, like Generic Customer Onboarding, Manage Customer Data and Identification & Verification.

The Chapter Data Engineering focusses on creating the right set of Data Tooling and processes to continuously improve our Conversational AI solutions. These solutions consist of three product lines: chat, voice and advisor assist. It is important to us to continuously improve the output of the Conversational AI to help our clients better, quicker and more personal.

• You have working experience in the DevOps and Scrum way of working.
