As a Medior Business Analyst Capital Markets at NN Group, you will support the Group Finance and Reporting unit at one of the Netherlands’ largest insurance companies. Based in The Hague, you will use your business analyst and capital market skills to help assure the accuracy of our group financial & Risk reporting. Wat je gaat doen

You will be responsible for supporting the business-as-usual data management operational tasks, such as setting up financial instruments, portfolios and bank accounts in our internal systems. You will also support internal stakeholders in Finance and Risk and external data vendors by dealing with all kinds of data-related issues.

In addition, you will:

• Challenge inconsistencies in data-related information and propose improvements when you spot inefficiencies in data management processes
• Validate the definition of business terms and support the data governance office
• Assess inefficiencies in the current data management processes and propose improvements
• Design and deliver the functional requirement specification document for mid- big projects that involve implementing new data management processes
• Provide requirements and validate the business logic built by development teams, by checking that it is in line with the business requirements

Wat je meebrengt

We are looking for a person with a passion for data, who is driven by continuous improvement. You have a proactive mindset and strong analytical and systematic (execution) skills. You are not fazed by changing priorities and you’re good at solving problems. Collaborative and communicatively strong in English (Dutch would be a bonus), you can interact with a wide range of stakeholders and easily make contact with your colleagues. While you can challenge data-related issues, you should also be able to take direction. Furthermore, you enjoy documenting and proposing standardized processes and work instructions, and you have:

• At least 4 years of relevant experience as a Business/ Data Analyst at an asset management company or a comparable financial services company
• Knowledge of financial instruments such as bonds, equities and derivatives
• Eagerness to work (or learn to work) with systems like MarkitEDM, SimCorp Dimension and S&P Markit
• Some experience working with data vendors, such as Bloomberg or Refintiv
• A basic understanding of static data setups, such as instruments, parties and portfolios is a plus

You will be joining our Data Management team. Currently, this small team consists of three analysts based in the Netherlands, supported by four members from our offshore team in India.
